Hands-on trainings

  • Teaching STEM for high school teachers (5 days)

    Program students will learn to produce a STEM learning activities and to adapt a current curricular or learning activity into an integrated STEM activity. Students will be introduced to different programming languages and tools as well as teaching engineering tools.

    Day 1: Project – based and Inquiry-based learning

    Day 2: CDIO pedagogy. Integrating STEM in practice.

    Day 3: Imagination and creativity

    Day 4: Learning Technology

    Day 5: Learning Engineering

    Each day will include theory and practical hands-on experimenting.

  • Unity training for high school teachers (2 days)

    In this training teacher will learn the bascis and practical applications of using Unity programming tools and game engine. In this training Unity game motor and C# programming language.

    Day 1:

    • Downloading Unity platform, learning to use basic functionalities and editor

    • Programming with editor and building levels

    • Game objects, menus and user interface

    • Counting points, physics motors and sound effects

    Day 2:

    • Graphic settings and final screen

    • Use of field editors

    • Sounds and visual effects

    • Animation of characters and moving characters

    • Designing three-dimensional field and 3D-characters

  • Science Education for kindergarten teachers (1 day)

    In this one day training students will learn the basics of science education and how to implement it in practise. Training has a strong focus on hands.on experimenting and inquiry-based learning.
