  • STEAM Curriculum

STEM School Finland curriculum has been tested and developed for 7 years in over 40 locations in Finland and internationally. Thousands of children attend each year in our STEAM education in Finland.

Our curriculum is theme-based with strong focus on hands-on experimenting. Each theme encourages children to think creatively, observe, analyse and solve problems. Scientists, researchers, early learning specialists, kindergarten and elementary school teachers, engineers and programmers have been involved in this content and development process.

  • Learning materials

Our inspiration has been CDIO-model which has been developed in engineering education in MIT. CDIO stands for conceive-design-implement-operate. Each of our lessons starts with theory of the subject, then children design their own creation, implement it and then test and operate with it. This model applies to sciences, robotics and programming. Creativity, problem-solving through trial and error, playfulness and imagination are the key aspects here to gain deeper learning.

Our curriculum and lesson plans are aligned with the major IT-, science and computer science curricula. We focus on long-term and target-oriented learning. We have all together 16 academic years of lesson plans available for STEAM education.

  • STEM Events

STEM School Finland takes part and arranges various STEM related events each year. We have experinece in arranging robo-hackathons, STEM-related theme days and other educational events for children, youngsters, their parents as well as for professionals.

With these events we aim to promote STEM – learning and learning experiences as well as

    • To empower future generations and foster creativity and innovative thinking
